The eighth and final season of HBO's magnum opus Game Of Thrones is just a few days away. And loyal fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the twist in the ultimate season. Lena Headey, who plays the intriguing character of Cersei Lannister, received a lot of recognition globally post the series. Fans love Lean for plays Cersei so perfectly. There is a lot of curiosity about Cersei's fate in the final season and during an interaction recently, Lena revealed that she was “devastated” post the final filming of the season.
Lena disclosed that as soon as she wrapped up her last scene, she broke down in tears. "I thought I wasn’t going to let myself get to that point because I had the last day to get through," the actress said. She further added, "And then when I left and I got in the car, I broke down in tears and I was ... devastated."
Talking about her journey on Game of Thrones, Lean confirms that the show indeed helped her achieve international recognition and fame. "I mean, listen, we all know if you’re visible, people look at you differently. You’re allowed in rooms you were never allowed in before, you get meetings with people, and people listen to what you have to say. So in regards to that, it’s obviously changed my ability to start making and doing and developing things, which I’m thrilled about. I’ve wanted to do that for a long time. ‘Thrones’ changed my life in that way, and I’m incredibly grateful," she said.
While Lena remained tight-lipped on how the show ends, she confessed that she is "absolutely satisfied" with the conclusion planned for the fantasy series. Game of Thrones final season will premiere on April 14.
