Bollywood is every television actor’s dream; some make it happen other continue to hope
Television is a pandora’s box of some really brilliant actors. We’ve seen them do it in daily soaps before and love them. Bollywood is the biggest dream out there and everyone wants be get an entry by hook or by crook.
Several stars from television managed to make that successful transition to movies and creating a niche for themselves. Sushant Singh Rajput, Ayushman Khurana, Vidya Balan started their career on the small screen. While several actors repeatedly still keep trying. Here’s a list of actors we think are ready for Bollywood.
Gautam Rode: The actor gave us the ultimate lover boy when he did Saraswatichandra and Mahakumbh showed us his rough and tough side. He has a funny side, something we’ve often seen on when the actor hosted Nach Baliye. He has been in the television industry since 2005. In between all this Gautam has been part of films, but none that comes to your mind immediately.
Drashti Dhami: Everyone knows that Drashti has been trying to get into films for the longest time now. She was considered for a role opposite Ajay Devgn in Singham, but her prior commitments made it tad difficult to sign on anything new. Since Drashti has already taken up a new show now, we doubt any Bollywood offers are going to come by. But we still hope to see her on the 70mm screen someday.
Rithvik Dhanjani: The dishy actor is definitely ready for a Bollywood break. After playing a vampire and then a doting lover, husband, and father we think he is ready to take the plunge. Although it has not been too long for Rithvik in the telly industry he has created a name for himself and garnered enough love that he can be banked on to carry a movie on his shoulders.
Sanaya Irani: Everyone loves Sanaya even when she’s not doing anything people talk about her. She has entered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 as a contestant which should give filmmakers an idea about her dancing skills. In fact Sanaya has made a special appearance in Aamir Khan and Kajol’s Fanaa. It would be interesting to see Ms Irani on the silver screen and we know her fans will totally love it.
Karan Tacker: Last year, when Karan did Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa he really hoped that Bollywood would now open all doors to him and that’s exactly what happened. When we met Tacker during the shoot of The Voice, the actor said that he has been reading several scripts and soon he will lock one. So say by year end our hopes will come true.
Ankita Lokhande: She may be just one film old but the actress was already considered for some big movies. In fact, Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan wanted to rope her for Happy New Year, but things didn’t work out as planned. It would be interesting to see the actress doing a mainstream film especially if it is one opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
