The South Indian audience will have quite a few choices this week with multiple big-ticket films hitting the marquee. Samantha Akkineni starrer U Turn will hit the screens in Telugu worldwide along with Naga Chaitanya’s Shailaja Reddy Alludu this week. And these two films will clash with Tamil film Seema Raja starring Sivakarthikeyan. Interestingly, it also stars Samantha Akkineni. While the hype around all the three films are equally high, it’s tough to predict which film would emerge the winner. But we quick look at the stakes for each –
The remake of a Kannada film with the same title, U Turn stars Samantha Akkineni as a journo and is said to be a thriller. If the trailer has left you intrigued with the narrative in it, the theme song U Turn Karma, has left fans of Samantha crooning to it. The buzz around this thriller is very high and audience will be drawn to cinema halls right from the first show of the film.

Shailaja Reddy Alludu:
This Naga Chaitanya starrer has been the talk of the town since the trailer of the film was released. Shailaja Reddy Alludu is directed by Maruthi who is known for making films filled with tons of humour quotient and his latest directorial seems to be one level up. SRA also stars Ramya Krishna in a key role and the battle between Alludu (son-in-law) Naga Chaitanya and Atha (mother-in-law) Ramya Krishna seems to be the show stealer going by the trailer.
One actor who has travelled the long and hard way in Tamil cinema is Sivakarthikeyan. After winning the audience’s heart with films like Remo and Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan is back with Seema Raja which is directed Ponram. The mass commercial seeming film also stars Samantha Akkineni, who interestingly has a release in Telugu this week, as the leading lady and veteran actress Simran is seen playing a key role in the plot. The trailer and the release date posters of the film have made the fans root for the film and it will be exciting to see how the film will fare.
