After impressing viewers and winning over a legion of women with his brooding looks in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, Namik Paul took the risk of playing a ghost in Ek Deewana Tha. The show is set for a leap where Vyom (Vikram Singh Chauhan) will be seen with Shivani Surve. Namik will be back in flesh and blood on the show. While it is unclear if he will be a singer but he is surely making an entry as one on the supernatural thriller. It has the whole vibe of the classic film Karz, where Shiv and his mom, Madhavi will be stunned to see history repeat itself. The best part is everyone who was cribbing that Namik was only seen in one outfit throughout this period will get some relief. The tall and handsome stud will make a re-entry in a crimson velvet blazer with a white shirt and trousers. His hair will be puffed like a pompadour. The actor said he channelised his inner Elvis Presley for this look. Earlier, in an interview to Bollywood Life, he said, "I found the overall story of EDT very appealing. And I am very sure that I want to do something new every time. It was fun. Since January, people are seeing me differently on the show. Yes, there have been complaints but you cannot get caught up in social media reaction. My producers are happy."
The actor who trained to be a journalist decided to switch careers after he felt that he was unsuitable for the job. Despite his rather unconventional looks, Namik has managed to win over the girls. "Yeah, some people told me that I did not have the looks for TV. I am very happy being a television actor. I don’t see it as an inferior medium. Yes, the method of working in films is different but what I have gained from TV is more than what I could asked for. I respect TV and I have utmost commitment for what I do in this medium," he said.
