Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are currently painting the town red with their romance in Bharat. And fans of the couple have even more reason to rejoice as director Ali Abbas Zafar has spilled the details on a sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai. Speaking to PTI the filmmaker said, "It has always been important for me to find the story first. So I am extremely happy and kicked with the story I've found for Tiger Zinda Hai (sequel). It'll take the instalment forward and will be synonymous with what the franchise has been doing."
The film in question will be the third featuring the iconic character 'Tiger', which was portrayed by Salman Khan in the first two parts. The first film of the franchise Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar helmed the second one titled Tiger Zinda Hai. Currently busy with Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar that that he will begin work on the third film once he has wrapped up the current Salman-Katrina starrer, which is up for release in June during Eid. "I will wait for Bharat to release first. But I've discussed the idea with Salman and Aditya Chopra both. I think there is a great film there in the story," the filmmaker added.
Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is mounted on a lavish budget and will trace the actor’s journey over six decades. Bharat is the official adaption of the Korean film An Ode To My Father. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in key roles. This is the third collaboration of Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan. Produced by Atul Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar, Bharat is all set to hit the screens on June 5 during Eid this year.
