Crime-thrillers are a genre that has been explored a lot in Bollywood but rarely with any impact. From the looks of it, Gurgaon seems to be a story of someone trying to make money using a kidnapping that has already taken place. Think Hera Pheri but without the gags and comic situations. However, this might just prove to be a Red Herring, as is often the case with any good thriller. Watch the teaser here...
Starring Akshay Oberoi, Ragini Khanna, Pankaj Tripathi, Shalini Vatsa, Aamir Bashir and Ashish Verma, Gurgaon is the directorial debut of National Award winning cinematographer Shanker Raman. The intriguing first poster of the film was launched by Anurag Kashyap last week. Not surprisingly, the filmmaker had a lot of good things to say about the film. He had said, "I saw ‘Gurgaon’ last year and for me, it is genuinely one of the best suspense thrillers I’ve seen in the longest time and it’s in my list of best movies. The amount of tension the movie builds, it’s not only engaging but it also has some incredible performances. It’s worth watching."
