Hansika Motwani is celebrating her birthday today. Earlier, she had announced that she will be announcing the title of her next project on the day. But the actress just posted on Twitter that the title announcement has been delayed and the reason will make you proud of her. Tamil screenwriter and politician M. Karunanidhi passed away, at the age of 94, two days back. As a sign of respect for the stalwart, Hansika has made the decision.
Hansika wrote on her Twitter handle, "As mark of respect to our beloved leader #kalaignar karunanidhi ji . We wil be rescheduling the announcement of the title .date and time will be announced soon . Thank u for your patience #hansika50th [sic]"
Earlier in an interview with Hindustan Times, Hansika had talked about her sabbatical. "Meanwhile, last month, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Hansika spoke about her sabbatical and what kinds of roles she wants to do now. “I was getting a lot of offers, but I was no longer interested in playing a cute, bubbly girl running around trees. I felt the need for a change, the need for growth. So I waited for the right offers and chose Thuppakki Munai with Vikram Prabhu and 100 with Atharvaa. In both these films, I have strong, impactful roles. I also play a complex character in Jameel’s untitled suspense thriller,” Hansika had said.
M. Karunanidhi was fondly called as Kalaignar Karunanidhi passed away today at the age of 94. The multi-talented personality breathed his last in Kauveri hospital at 6: 10 pm on August 7. His unfortunate demise has shattered the heart of many celebs in Tamil Nadu. Abirami Ramanathan and Rohini Pannerselvam, who are members of the Theatre’s Association have cancelled all the shows of evening and night across the state.
