Today is Mother's Day. You won't have any second opinion about the fact that mother is the most important person of our life. From giving birth to making us successful grown up individuals, mother is one pillar of support without which we can't survive. While the whole world is celebrating the special day, here are the TV celebs sharing how special this day is for them.
Palak Jain: This mother's day, I would love to tell my mom that the way she always supports me, loves me, cares about me, the way she pampers me and is concerned about my activities, I promise her, "Maa, I'm your shadow and hence I will never ever leave you alone."
Adnan Khan: I'm really very much thankful to my mom to make me brave, and a person who never gives up on anything. She has always inspired me to become a champion and motivates me to work hard. I don’t think we need a particular day to celebrate our mother and the beautiful relationship that we share with her. God's greatest gift to mankind is a beautiful soul called mother and one should always make her feel loved and respected. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, I would like to treat my mom at her favourite restaurant and spend the day with her.
Pearl V Puri: My mother has always been special person of my life. She has always supported me and my decisions. Since my childhood to now, we are actually attached so emotionally with each other. I just can't start my day without having a word with her.
Aly Goni: My mother actually deserves the credit for whatever I'm today. She has always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. She has always been with me in my every up and down. For me each day is special for her. Everyday I want to make her feel special.
Helly Shah: My mom is my friend, guide and also a teacher - a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. She is the inspiration of my life. I have seen her going through so much in her life, yet she remained the strongest. She is the best. She taught me to be the best. And she is that one person in my life who comes first for me.
Tejasswi Prakash: My mother is a walking miracle. I love her and totally depend on her for everything. The time I see her, I get the power and can stand strong. She is the only reason behind my achievements. I love her the most.
Sara Khan: Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs, since the payment is pure love. For me, my mother only is god. She has only helped me, motivated me and inspired me to earn all the achievements.
Avika Gor: Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. My mother has always been there with me, the time I was fighting and rooting my ways. She has always fed me with so much love and care, that life without her is totally impossible.
Aalisha Panwar: The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness. And I have learned her qualities, be it to be hardworking, forgiving or having passion. And it has only become my success key.
Mahika Sharma: Mother, I feel that was the bank where we deposited all our hurts and worries. I remember during my school days when my friends use to hide things from their mom. But I learned to speak up the truth and never hide or lie to my mom. And soon I felt my mom has become my best friend.
Shubhangi Atre: When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. I understand my mom so well, now once I became a mother. And my love, respect grows for her so high with each passing day. She is the most responsible person in my life.
Devoleena Bhattacharjee: My mother is my root, my foundation. She planted the seed that I base my life on, and that is the belief that the ability to achieve starts in my mind. I can't just imagine my life without her. She is my god, super hero. She is the best mom in the world.
Kunal Jaisingh: My mom is the best. The more I say is less about her. She always keeps trust over me and motivated me to follow my dreams and live them. She'd be proud of me and my achievements. She believes in me and that's why my today is for her. She's a wonderful mother.
Suyyash Rai: I would say that my mother is the single biggest role model in my life, but that term doesn't seem to encompass enough when I use it about her. She is the love of my life. Whatever I'm today is only because of her.
Manu Punjabi: Acceptance, tolerance, bravery, compassion. These are the things my mom taught me. She is not with me today. But her teachings will always be. I can still feel her love and care. My mom was my greatest teacher and a true friend. No one can take her place in my life.
Asha Negi: A gift I would like to give my mother is a bit more of my time. She would definitely appreciate that the most! I am here in Mumbai and she is back home in Dehradun, due to which we don't get to spend much time together. Hence some quality time with me is what she would truly consider as a valuable gift for herself!
Mishal Raheja: Mother's day is extremely special, and my mom is to me as well! So this mother's day, the one gift which I am planning to gift my mother is a watch... My family members somehow just have a fetish for watches of different brands, and so does my mom! She loves watches in different styles and colours, so that's what I am going to surprise her with this mother's day!
Shantanu Maheshwari: As they say, no gift is big enough to ever compliment the love and affection that a mother has for her child. So for my mom too, whatever I gift her, will never be enough to thank her for all that she has done for me till date. Though if I had to gift her something, then that would be our very own home in Mumbai. That is something which I have been wanting to do for my parents and family for quite some time now.
Aashka Goradia: I would love to gift my mother a holiday! She would value that the most, and she deserves that! We really need some alone time together, and so whisking her off on mini holiday is what I would like to gift her.
Faisal Khan: I would love to gift my mother an international trip someday. It is her dream to visit destinations out of India at some point in life, which I want to fulfill for her very soon!
Karan Jotwani: I don’t need a particular day to express my love for my mother. For me, every day is equivalent to Mother’s Day. I cannot thank my mom enough for all that she has done for me in all these years. When I was in school, my mother used to teach me poetry which has truly helped me to become an expressive actor today. The feeling of being a mother is one of the most beautiful because it is truly unconditional. We should celebrate them every day, every moment and tell our mothers how much we love them.
Eisha Singh: For me, every day is Mother’s Day. I haven’t planned anything special yet but I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my mother and taking her for a late-night drive. There have been many people who have impacted my life in some way or the other. But there is one person who has done things for me that no one else can possibly do and that is my Maa. It is undoubtedly true that there are many wonderful mothers out there and they are all very important to the people that they love and care. But for me, my mother means the world to me. I really can’t describe how important she is and I am blessed to have her in my life. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the mothers out there, a very happy Mother’s Day!
Sheen Dass: There are numerous memories that I recollect with my mother and they have always brought a smile on my face. I especially remember visiting my grandmother’s house with my mother and enjoying summers there. This year, I might be shooting on Mother’s Day but I hope that I get to spend time with my mom. I would like to wish all the mothers out there, a very happy Mother’s Day.
Marzi Pestonji: I plan to celebrate Mother’s Day by waking up early in the morning and surprising my mother with a lovely present. I would like to take her for shopping and a lovely dinner. Our mom raises us from our birth and despite everything, they pamper us and even adore our crankiest selves. Hence, I feel Mother’s Day is every day. My memory of my mother is that she is completely biased towards me. Even if I have an argument with my father, my mother gets into the picture and tells him that I am correct and he has to listen to her.
Aditi Sharma: My mother stays in New Delhi and I miss her a lot! But my grandmother stays with me here. So I am planning to celebrate Mother’s Day with my grandmother and my reel mother – Jashwinder ji. I would like to take them out and surprise them. I feel that mothers are like angels sent from heaven above by god to take care of all the children. And for me, my mother is the most important person in my life. I wouldn’t have been successful if not for her support. One of my favourite memories of Mother’s Day is when my brother and I had planned a little surprise for her. We decorated her room with balloons and roses and we baked a cake for her. We broke our piggy bank and got her a wallet from our savings.
