Suniel Shetty made his Bollywood debut with Balwaan, which was released on September 11, 1992 and exactly after 23 years, his daughter Athiya Shetty's debut film Hero released on the same date in the year 2015.
While Suniel Shetty hailed from a Tulu family, Mana belongs to a part-Hindu and part-Muslim cultural background. Both the personalities took 9 years to convince their parents due to their cultural differences and they finally tied the knot in 1991.
The actor also did an English film titled Don't Stop Dreaming in 2007, which was directed by Aditya Raj Kapoor (son of actor Shammi Kapoor) and also featured Rishi Kapoor in a lead role.
Suniel was the first choice for 1994 action film but due to some reasons, things didn't materialise and Akshay Kumar came on board for the film. Interestingly, Suniel, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal have worked together in many successful films.
