40th Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida became the first one for Han Solo, Harrison Ford. Ford surprised the fans in attendance and those who were glued to the live-stream when he walked in to join Mark Hamill, George Lucas, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Peter Mayhew for the panel discussion.
Warwick Davis, who was hosting the panel, teased Ford about his landing skills. Davis said, "I can’t believe we kept this a secret, considering you landed your plane on I-4." Joining in on the fun Ford quipped, "But it was a good landing." Just to jog the memory, Ford has been recently warned by the US Federal Aviation Administration over landing on the wrong part of a Southern California airport. Ford was also involved in a crash in March 2015 when he landed the plane on a golf course.
Davis was not the only one taking a jab at the readily available opportunity. Peter Mayhew, who plays Wookie Chewbacca in the original trilogy posted an image with Ford on his Twitter account. Captioning the image, Mayhew volunteered to be his co-pilot in real life too.
Lovely seeing my buddy.. hell of a pilot.. but I'd love to help out a little with those landings. Always available if he needs a copilot.. pic.twitter.com/dBuQEmHbSg

Director George Lucas and Ford also revealed how the actor got the part of Han Solo. Ford had worked with Lucas in American Graffiti. But, now a cult favourite, the movie did not do wonders for Ford. He went back to carpentry work. Lucas said that a casting director urged Ford to hang around outside his office until Lucas gave him a job.
Ford rubbished the anecdote and corrected Lucas by saying that he was working on a door for Francis Ford Coppola's art director as a favour when he spotted him there. "I love you, but I wasn’t going to wait around for you," Ford teased Lucas.
