Today, on Kajol's birthday, the first trailer of Helicopter Eela has been released and we are utterly impressed by it.

Mothers have been an integral part of Bollywood ever since its inception. From Amar Akbar Anthony coming together to save their mother to Ishaan crying on the backdrop of Tujhe Sab Hai Pata Maa - mothers have been paid tribute to countless times in Indian cinema. But how often have we made movies solely about motherhood and not sidelined them to a supporting character? Too less! Well, gear up for Helicopter Eela, which stars Kajol in the lead role! It celebrates motherhood in a whole new way. Today, on Kajol's birthday, the first trailer of Helicopter Eela has been released and we are utterly impressed by it. In Helicopter Eela, Kajol plays a mother who seems to have left behind her hobbies and career to raise her child\. Her son suggests that she should finish her education only to invite trouble for himself. A peppy and bubbly Kajol joins his college and lands in his very classroom to study with him. The premise has been presented with the right dose of humour in the first few minutes of the trailer, but the essence of the movie comes out near the end of the footage. We see Kajol and her son's world collide and emotional outbursts making the story intense. A sound advice by Neha Dhupia to Kajol puts things into perspective. Will the college adventure bring Kajol and her son closer or will it make them distant in Helicopter Eela? I am certainly waiting to find out. I found the trailer to be extremely entertaining, maybe because how relatable it is. The banter that the mother and the son share hits home for me. Director Pradeep Sarkar has put a lot of emotions in this story. The trailer strikes a perfect balance between happy and sad and that is a rarity in Bollywood these days.
