Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film, Super 30, is inspired by the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational programme. The film is being helmed by Vikas Bahl and it is set to release on July 12. Super 30 was initially supposed to hit the silver screens on January 25 but was pushed to July 26. In order to not let his film Super 30 be desecrated by another media circus, following repeated attacks by Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli, Hrithik requested his producers for a new release date. Now that the trailer has been unveiled online and the film is just a month away from its release, the promotions have kickstarted.
Anand Kumar himself began the promotional schedule of
Super 30 and spoke to various media persons, a few days ago. In an interview with The Quint, the man revealed how his two-year-old daughter reacted after watching the trailer. Anand said, "When the trailer came out my mother was teary-eyed. My brother was also astonished. I have a two-year-old daughter who jumped in excited saying, 'Papa, papa." And added how his family was amazed to see Hrithik Roshan's transformation.
During the same interaction, Anand mentioned about his part in scripting as well as the casting process. "I chose them. Not just the script, but who will direct it, who will act. I decided everything. And I have worked with them on the script of the film. "
The mathematician also added that people laughed at him while he was considering Hrithik Roshan to play his part in Super 30. Elaborating on the same, he said, "When I was selecting Hrithik Roshan everyone laughed at me saying that he looks like a Greek god and I must select someone who could look the part. But when I met him, he said that this film is very difficult and I will take time to even get into your character. He spoke to me. He sat with me for hours and hours."
Jointly produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment, Super 30 stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles.
Vijay Varma aka Moeen from Gully Boy also has a cameo in the film. Confirming his part in Super 30, he had earlier said, "While I can’t say much about the part, what I can tell is that when I heard the story of Super 30 and about Anand sir who literally changed so many lives I knew I wanted to be a part of this story."
