Letting Rajinikanth play in Sydney Cricket Ground sporting a blue jersey might be the only way Team India can turn the tide
How many of you are actually bunked office to watch the epic battle between India and Australia semi-final? I bet there are many. While almost everyone is cursing under their breath at India's effort at field so far, as Australia is cruising at this stage, I can't help but wonder what can be done so that India can bounce back from their sorry state at the moment.
We all know the super powers that Rajinikanth possesses - be it his rocket fast speed, bullet catching abilities or his ability to make the impossible possible. I know what you are thinking. Wouldn't it be nice if Rajinikanth dons the Indian jersey and lift India to victory in a semi-final which is fast slipping away from India's grasp? Here are the three things which Rajinikanth can do to help India make the most of Mauka:
With death overs coming up, and given the Indian bowlers reputation of failing in the final overs, I am sure Rajinikanth can be the most economical as well as wicket taking bowler for India in the last few overs.
With Rajini in the team, Dhoni will have the luxury with the field placings as Rajini could single-handedly guard the entire boundary line. Also with Rajini fielding in deep, Dhoni doesn't have to worry about catches being dropped as Thalaiva could catch the flying cigarette in his mouth. Yeh ball kya cheez hai?
Going by the way Aussies are bashing India right now, it would be apt for Rajinikanth to open the innings, preferably batting from both ends. After all he has the ability to single handedly chase the mammoth target set by Australia.
Even if any of the above is not possible, at least Rajini Sir can tweet and cheer for India. Who knows that could do the trick? I bet Sir Jadeja, Dhoni and entire Indian team would be nodding with me in agreement.
