The film is similar to a South Korean film
Sanjay Gupta gave away more than he perhaps intended to, in an interview to a tabloid while discussing his next film Jazbaa, which will be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback film. As per the report, Ash plays a lawyer and the film has four important characters. Irrfan Khan plays a suspended cop while John Abraham is set do an important cameo.
The plot of Jazbaa bears similarities to a South Korean crime thriller titled Seven Days. Gupta has admitted to buying the remake rights to a film which Jazbaa is based on, but has refused to name the film, but he unwittingly revealed it by disclosing the story. It is now clear that Aishwarya is playing the lead role of the lawyer while Irrfan might be the guy who helps her in the trial. Since John has a cameo, we reckon he’s playing the part of the convicted felon who Aishwarya will try and defend.
This isn’t the first time Gupta has remade a Korean film, his John Abraham-Sanjay Dutt starter Zinda was a copy of the critically acclaimed South Korean film Old Boy (2003).
