Kajol who will be seen playing the role of a mother in her next, Helicopter Eela, says she is not as exaggerated as her character Eela in real life. At the NDTV Yuva Conclave held in New Delhi, the actress got candid about her husband, Ajay, and kids- Nysa and Yug, and also revealed if she is open to encouraging her daughter to pursue acting or not. Saying that she is half helicopter mom and Ajay is a complete helicopter dad, Kajol added, "I'm not as exaggerated as Eela but I'm partly a helicopter mom and happier for it. But now he (Ajay Devgn) has realized its important to be a bad cop (when dealing with the kids) too and that it's not okay to say okay all the time. He's also understood that he cannot wait for the mom to be a bad cop."
Moving on, when the actress was quizzed regarding her 15-year-old daughter's acting plans, Kajol stated that she would encourage her daughter if she wishes to be an actor. "I'll back her choice. I'll encourage her in whatever she wants to make of her life not what I want her do in her life", she said.
When asked if her kids support her career choice, the actress went on to say, "My kids have never stopped me from going to work or take or reject a film... My daughter is proud of me and that's my biggest award... that's my biggest recognition." Sweet, we say!
Talking about her film, Helicopter Eela, it is based on a Gujarati play called, Beta, Kagdoo. Helmed by Pradeep Sarkar, the film features Kajol as a single mother and an aspiring singer. Also featuring Riddhi Sen, Neha Dhupia, the film releases on October 12.
