Navjot Singh Sindhu's comments on the Pulwama terror attack didn't go down well with social media users. Ever since the cricketer-turned-politician stated that he cannot blame the entire nation for the wrongdoing of a few people, he has been at the receiving end of the wrath of true-blue Indians. Twitter users were enraged to the extent that they demanded the makers of the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show to sack Sidhu from the show unless they wanted a complete boycott of the show altogether. Kapil, who is heading the show, also backed Sidhu saying that sacking him is not the solution. Needless to say, the comedian's statement wasn't received well by the citizens of our country.
And after Kapil, now another member of the show, Krushna Abhishek, has broken his silence over Sidhu's comments and the social media trend to boycott TKSS 2. At a media event, when Krushna was asked about Navjot's exit from the show, he stated, "I don't know what's going on but currently the country's atmosphere is not right. Everyone is mourning. We have already shot a few episodes with Archana Puran Singh. But, Archana has told some media houses that she hasn't yet signed the full contract. I would only be able to comment after having a word with the channel."
Later on, when the comedian was asked to share thoughts about the trend of boycotting TKSS 2, he added, "I don't know what Kapil has said and what statement he has given. I don't even have any knowledge about Kapil's boycott on Twitter." Let's just say, Krushna acted wisely by playing it safe. And we hope people do act wisely at a time when the entire nation is facing such crisis.
