Salman Khan is a complete family man and there are no two ways about it. The superstar always keeps his family first and respects each one of them. The Dabangg actor is extremely close to the members of his fam-jam and he would do anything under the sun to keep them happy. Likewise, Salman has utmost respect and love for his father Salim Khan and their bond is a true representation of the father-son relationship. Interestingly, the 53-year-old's film, Bharat, sheds light on the relationship of an ideal father and son. According to the director, Ali Abbas Zafar, no one could have played Bharat better than Salman and he was the perfect choice for the role.
Apparently, Bharat's storyline has a personal connection with Salman and Salim Khan's relationship. The way Khan fights all odds in the film is exactly what he does in his personal life when it comes to his family. Revealing why Salman is the best perfect fit for this role, the filmmaker said, "I feel that there couldn’t be a better choice to play Bharat than Salman because the film is about a father-son relationship and anyone who is aware of Salman and Salim uncle’s bond will know how close they are to each other and how much respect is there between them."
"Also the fact is that when you do a film like Bharat, you need a superstar that is identifiable by each and every person in this country and somewhere or the other both these things create a magical bond. Salman’s power and stardom and the relationship he shares with his father get translated very well in his performance in the film, making him a better choice," added Ali.
Like Ali, people who know Salman closely, are of the opinion that the actor considers the words of his father as the absolute truth. Say for that matter, Khan never argues with his daddy dearest and doesn't go against his wishes. That's what one calls an ideal and obedient son!
Besides Salman, Bharat stars Katrina Kaif, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani, Sonali Kulkarni, Sunil Grover, Tabu and Jackie Shroff in key roles. It is an official adaption of a South Korean film titled An Ode To My Father. Jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar, Bharat releases on June 5.
