Anushka Sharma, who got a dream launch with Yash Raj Film's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008 with Shah Rukh Khan, has turned 28 today. Anushka, though made a debut with a mainstream movie, has proved with her film choices that she is an intelligent actress who knows her audience's pulse and is not afraid to take a few risks.
After doing films like Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Band Bajaa Baraat and Patiala House very early in her career, she was christened as the quintessential 'bubbly' heroine who well, replaced Priety Zinta but she proved her detractors wrong with her unconventional film choices. Her movies like PK, and NH 10 (most importantly) put her on another league al together! She WOWED even her critics with her true to the bone, badass performance in NH 10. This film, which is also Anushka's first production, will forever remain special for her. We saw Anushka in a never before avatar in this one which literally blew our mind. It is not easy to own a production house at this age. Mind you. PK, which remains to be one of the top grossers, also brought out the performer in Anushka.
Also, it is not a mean feat to SHARE screen with all the KHANS so early in one's career. Even seasoned actresses take time to achieve this milestone. It is one thing, again, to star with a Khan but it is differently credible to make your presence felt in movie with them around. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and PK both highlgihted Anushka's performance. Now, she is all geared up to impress us with her tough, wrestler act with Salman Khan in Sultan. Judging by her first poster, she will actually KICK some ass with the movie. We are quite sure. After Sultan, she will soon be seen in her own production Phillauri where she is playing a witch! Cool, isn't it?
