That Akki isn't part of the third installment of Hera Pheri is known to all. But read on to know why things didn't fall in place this time around for Khiladi Kumar...
Akshay Kumar's exclusion from the Hera Pheri 3 star cast did raise many eyebrows. One of the reasons why the comic franchise has been so successful is because of Akki's presence in the film. However, in the third edition, it will John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan taking Akshay's place. Yes, the duo has replaced Twinkle Khanna's hubby dearest but why? Well, we hear the Baby actor demanded a whopping Rs 50 crore to be part of Hera Pheri 3. However, the makers couldn't meet Akshay's proposal and therefore the latter walked out from the project.
Interestingly, during a recent media interaction the action superstar had said, "I was never approached for Hera Pheri 3. I have another film lined up after (Baby) this and they wanted to start shooting early so I just could not work the dates out.”
But looks like the third installment of Hera Pheri was indeed offered to Akshay but things didn't materialise because the actor asked for a huge amount as his remuneration. While talking to a leading tabloid, a source said, "Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal agreed to what was being offered to them but Akshay wanted an astronomical amount. So, the makers had no option but to find another actor. The film was anyway delayed due to several rounds of conversation with him."
