The cast and crew of the film certainly feel so!
A film based on the true story of Neerja Bhanot, a Pan Am flight attendant, who saved as many as 359 passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on September 5, 1986 has touched millions of hearts and souls nationwide so much so that there is a rising demand of the film to go tax-free soon.
Talking to us about this issue, film’s producer Atul Kasbekar EXCLUSIVELY shared with us how much he believes in this initiative. “I really hope they make Neerja tax free soon,” he said during the post release interview. While Atul was all about the film going tax free, his team members Ram Madhvani and Sonam Kapoor were also seen in support of this news.
Neerja has created ripples in the film industry with the way it has portrayed the real life incident on the celluloid. Not just that if you watch the film, you will realise Neerja is more than the story of the unfortunate incident. The film also talsk about many pressing issues faced by individuals in our society and how they don’t come out in the open to talk about it. During one of the previous interactions, Ram Madhvani was quoted saying, “We want to ignite a spark among the youth of the country through our songs and the film. Neerja is all about facing fear in the eyes.”
Well, there you have it guys Neerja may go tax free in the coming days but let us know what you think about it?
