After staying away from Tamil cinema for nearly three decades, evergreen beauty Sridevi is back to make her mark in Kollywood with Vijay's 58th film Puli. While people are eagerly waiting to see her evil queen act on big screen, I give you some inside goss on why Sridevi said yes to Puli.
It is well known that Sridevi was first offered the role of Sivagami in SS Rajamouli's Baahubali, which was later played spectacularly well by Ramya Krishnan. Though, Srideviwas interested in the role of Sivagami, her remuneration fee was quite high and this made makers to opt for Ramya Krishnan.
A little birdie tells us that Sridevi was offered a whopping sum of amount by nakers of Puli. Though the figures are undisclosed, it is being said that Sridevi has been paid on par to an A-list hero in Kollywood. That's not all, apparently Sridevi has made sure that her role in Puli is as important and lengthy as Illayathalapathy Vijay's character in the film. Also, in her contract, Sridevi had demanded on bringing her own make up artists and all her costumes had to be pre-approved by her.
