Monday blues affect the Salman Khan-produced film's march!
The much anticipated Hero, starring two stars in the making Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, released last Friday with much fanfare. Contributing to the excitement factor is the fact that the one of the film's producers is Salman Khan himself, who had been present at every stage of the film's development right to its last minute promotions!
However, after the film's release, it was badgered with not so great reviews, many of which blaming the film's poor plot, redundant story telling and cliched moments, which dulled the excitement surrounding the film. After a superb weekend, the collections for the film has drastically dropped on Monday as it only grossed Rs 3.03 crores. This is what Taran Adarsh, prominent trade analyst, had tweeted,
Strangely, many of Salman Khan fans who throng the shows, had one particular complaint - there is not enough Salman Khan! The actor had made it clear himself that he is not there in the film, and will only appear in the song at the end credits. Yet, people went to watch the film to see their fave actor! Talk about undue expectations!
