There’s been a lot of conversation and excitement around Hrithik Roshan doing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Vikram Vedha. And why not? The original film, starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, was a blockbuster and with stars like Hrithik and Saif Ali Khan coming together in the Hindi version, the excitement levels are bound to be high. And now, we have an exciting update about the film. The cast and crew will get on the floors June onwards and begin the first schedule of the film. Hrithik is playing a gangster in the film and will portray the role of Vedha. Saif will be playing a cop in the film and it will be interesting to see the two powerful actors be pit against each other in this actioner.
What is challenging though is that the entire time that the team of Vikram Vedha planned to spend prepping for the film, will not be gone in the lockdown as the country grapples with the second wave of Covid-19. However, Hrithik will be spending April and May extensively working on his body and prepping for his character. Thankfully, for the actor, he has a fully functioning, well-equipped home gym and since he is not new to training, achieving his body goals for the character in Vikram Vedha will not be a task for the Super 30 star.
The Hindi version of the film will also be directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, who helmed the original film as well. The director duo is using this time to fine tune details so that they get on the floors full throttle come June.
For Hrithik, it is is not only Vikram Vedha that is on Hrithik's schedule. He is also gearing up for his digital debut and also has the much anticipated Fighter, directed by War helmer Siddharth Anand, and also starring Deepika Padukone. So our star is going to be quite busy during this lockdown phase.
