Hrithik Roshan is a kind soul. He not only plays a character in films but lives them too. Can you deny that he was perfectly convincing as a quadriplegic in Guzaarish and a blind man in Kaabil? He goes through a process to imbibe their mannerisms so that he can portray such characters well because doing that is nothing short of a challenge. He is perhaps the only actor who has been able to convey the woes and happiness of physically-challenged people perfectly onscreen.
But it seems he doesn't forget about those parts just because the film is over. Say, for example, the appeal he made to multiplex owners for the sake of differently-abled people. He wants them to upgrade their infrastructure so that people with various physical inabilities don't find it difficult to enjoy the cinematic experience. In fact, Hrithik is even ready to help them in this cause. He says, “Through my film’s characters, I have acquired a deeper understanding of differently-abled people’s lives and the challenges they face. One thing that has been playing on my mind is the need for our public places to be easily accessible to these people. It is a larger thought, but it is surprising that it hasn’t happened yet, even with over 20 million differently-abled people in India.” He further added, "Coming from the film fraternity, I would like to appeal to the multiplex chains to take them (differently-abled people) into consideration and work towards appropriate infrastructure. Infrastructure with which they will not be deprived of the big-screen experience of a film, and won’t have to think twice before stepping out for something as small as watching a movie. I’d love to help if there is anything I can do for that."
HR seem genuinely concerned about physically-challenged people, doesn't he? And well, rightly so! That's one of the many reasons why we can't stop loving Hrithik Roshan. He may get compliments for his drop dead gorgeous looks, but his generous heart doesn't get overlooked either.
