Nepotism is one of the raging topics in the country amongst various other things. The debate of Nepotism has taken a dirty turn wherein every star kid is being targetted by the audience. A lot of celebs have reacted to the same. Alongside the nepotism debate, the topic of industry 'insider-outsider', camp-ism, lobbying and group-ism have flared as well. A lot of celebs have come out and spoken about nepotism or shared their views on nepotism. And joining them is Super 30 and Batla House actress, Mrunal Thakur.
While talking to PinkVilla, Mrunal narrated not one but two incidents. Talking about the first incident, she revealed that she was supposed to get an award but was denied at the last moment. "First, it happened to me at an Awards ceremony. I was getting the Critics Best Actress award for my film and after I went on stage, I was told, 'Ma'am, that's the exit!' Whereas at the same ceremony, when a starkid went up, they literally were shoving the mic in her face," the actress said.
Talking about the second incident, Mrunal spoke about the treatment of media with no film background to those with star kids. "I was at this event giving interview bytes and suddenly, the entire media ran away because a star kid arrived. That poor girl couldn't even handle her outfit properly and the media was just all over," Mrunal said while talking about the second incident.
Alia Bhatt has been targetted by the netizens a lot. Her film, Sadak 2 which recently released on the OTT platform. When the trailer of Sadak 2 had released, the audience made it the most disliked trailer in the country. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor was trolled as well, when her biographical drama film, Gunjan Saxena released earlier this month.
