And the Badlapur actress has cleared the whole fuss around being called 'fat'...
It was Huma Qureshi's birthday a couple of days back. And obviously, Bollywood was kind enough to make it special by pouring in loving wishes for her on Twitter. Rishi Kapoor too didn't hesitate and tweeted 'Happy Birthday' to Ms Qureshi. But he found himself in major trouble for adding a picture to his tweet which read, "The more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe. Eat cake!"
Now for all that we know, Sr Kapoor is known for his wit and not everything that he says needs to be taken so seriously. But Twitteratis were at their worse slamming him for being so insensitive towards someone's weight and calling Huma, 'fat'. This isn't the first time that Ranbir Kapoor's daddy has been lashed out for his jokes. So to avoid anymore controversy, within few hours he pulled down the picture all together.
Apology. It was my personal joke with Huma on her birthday. If people took umbrage to it and some abuse just for the sake,I retract the same

All this while, Huma hadn't responded to Rishi's tweet. Finally the birthday girl has reacted to it and we might as well say, we love her for being such a sport! She replied,

We wonder why can't people take things in the jest of it. Even recently when AIB guy Tanmay Bhatt joked about 'Pari Hoon Main' song being pictured on child abuse, people took it seriously and also spoke in lengths of how the lyrics indicate the same and blah blah. Is everything really meant to be taken SO seriously? Like Huma says- Take a chill pill guys!
