Rumour has it that the makers have approached the Badlapur babe to reprise Kangana Ranaut's most memorable role in Telugu remake
Ever since producer Thiagarajan brought the remake rights of Vikas Bahl's highly acclaimed Queen, the entire Southern film fraternity has been buzzing with speculations as to who could play Rani in the remake. A little birdie tells us that Gangs of Wasseypur star Huma Qureshi has caught the eye of the makers as the the rumour has it that Huma is being considered for the lead role in Telugu remake.
For months the producer has been busy hunting for South India's Queen with big names like Trisha, Nayantara, Shriya Saran and Samantha were thrown into consideration. About a month a back, it was believed that the makers were in talks with Tollywood actress Charmi Kaur to step into Kangana's shoes. It is also discussed in hushed whispers that the role had almost landed into Kajal Aggarwal's kitty, but the Naayak actress apparently drove away the producers with her demand for a whopping remuneration.
While it is still unclear who will play the titular role in Queen remake, the latest buzz suggest Huma could be making her Tollywood debut with Telugu remake of Queen. We hear the actress is thrilled with the proposition and is looking forward to sign the film. Infact, the Ek Thi Dayan star was also present in South Indian International Movie Awards event this weekend. Does this mean that Huma may be treading south like the sexy siren Sunny Leone?
