Recently, Alia Bhatt along with her family, dad, Mahesh Bhatt, mother, Soni Razdan and sister, Shaheen Bhatt, attended and the book launch event of Shaheen's first book. And while at the launch event, Mahesh Bhatt lost his cool when a journalist him a question "so, you don't really want answers?" It so happened that Mahesh was talking about Shaheen's depression phase and revealed that whenever his daughter would be depressed, she would call up her friend and cry hard. He went on to highlight the importance of being a good listener, as the depressed individual needs to vent out his frustration and needs a person would hear him out.
Talking about Shaheen's depression, Mahesh added that the former never looked for answers as such. And that is when the reporter prodded him asking 'So, you don't really want answers?" Mahesh lost his cool and blurted out, "There are no answers! There are pretenders who claim to have answers and they institutionalise those answers and they impose those answers with the butt-end of a gun."
"Papa!" Shaheen tried to calm Mahesh down in front of all the attendees. But the actor went on. A visibly upset Alia Bhatt said, "I warned you that this was gonna happen," while Soni Razdan tried to pacify an agitated Mahesh. He continued animatedly saying, "I have never pretended to my children that I was in possession of the virtues that people flaunt. That's why they feel they are not misfits with me. Coming back to Shaheen's book, it is titled, I Have Never Been (Un) Happier. In the book, Shaheen has spoken about her mental health and her battle with depression. Recently, in an interview, Alia had brokedown for not being available for her sister the way she should have been.
