Arjun Kapoor's India's Most Wanted is moving at a snail's pace at the box office. The film made by Raj Kumar Gupta did see growth over the weekend. It made Rs 3.53 crore on Sunday. India's Most Wanted's collections picked up from day one when it made a little above two crores. The film is about a covert operation to nab a terrorist who was responsible for the bombings of 400 people across India. Many are saying it is inspired by the team that helped nab Yasin Bhatkal. In the film, Arjun Kapoor plays Prabhat Kapoor who heads a team of four unarmed men into foreign territory. The film's plus points are Arjun Kapoor's restrained performance, the realistic treatment and the photography. However, people have complained about the lack of detailing in the film.
BollywoodLife's reviewer Tushar P Joshi wrote, "Arjun Kapoor’s performance is restrained in the right places. The script has very little scope for drama and over the top moments. Arjun’s vulnerability becomes his biggest strength as Prabhat. His bonding with his men and the unflinching passion to safeguard his country from men with evil plans is well portrayed. Gupta also raises the interest bar by setting the film in Nepal and giving the story an unique twist."
This is the first film between Rajkumar Gupta and Arjun Kapoor. The budget of India's Most Wanted is estimated at around Rs 37 crores. The film needs to pick up to recover its investment. Arjun Kapoor also has Panipat in hand. The film starring Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt and him is directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
