Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota actress Radhika Madan turns a year older today! The bubbly actress is all of 24 years old and mind you, she is one goofball in real life and her Instagram posts will second our thoughts. Her flamboyant personality brightens up the surrounding and her natural flair for humour has everyone in the room crackling with laughter. Radhika Madan impressed many with her acting chops be it as Ishaani in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi or Badki in Pataakha or Supri in Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota. She is a certified dance instructor and prior to making her small screen debut as Ishaani, she worked as a dance instructor in Delhi. Radhika was born and brought up in Delhi and did her schooling from Delhi Public School. She began dancing since 8th grade and is trained in Jazz, Hip-hop, Ballet to name a few dance forms. She took a bold step to move to Mumbai and try her luck in acting. In 2014, Radhika bagged the role of Ishaani Ranveer Vaghela opposite Shakti Arora in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Se Hi and since then, there’s no looking back. Radhika also participated in danced based reality TV show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Post her stint on the small screen, she made her Bollywood debut with Pataakha which also starred Sanya Malhotra. The film was based on Charan Singh Pathik’s Do Behnen. For the preparation of her character badki, Radhika and Sanya stayed in Ronsi in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where they learned the dialect. They also learned milking buffaloes, thatching roofs, plastering walls with cow-dung and walking long distances with a pot (matka) full of water on their head and around their waist.
In Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota the actress performed all her stunts on her own and watched several action films to familiarise herself with the genre. The actress had revealed to PTI that she was auditioning for Laila Majnu alongside MKDNH but chose latter because of its uniqueness. MKDNH earned standing ovation at MAMI.
On the work front, Radhika Madan is currently gearing up for Angrezi Medium which also stars Irrfan Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Kareena Kapoor. Radhika plays the daughter of Irrfan who plays Champak Ji, a sweet shop owner. The story follows Radhika’s character moving to London for further studies and the rivalry between brothers (Irrfan and Deepak). The movie is a sequel to 2017's sleeper hit Hindi Medium.
