The actor will be seen portraying a negative character in the Go Goa Gone director's next starring Shahid Kapoor...
Nawazuddin Siddhiqui had been well appreciated for portraying a greyish character in Salman Khan's blockbuster Kick. Grapevine has it that there is a queue of filmmakers who want to cast him in similar roles now, but hardly anyone is able to finalise. We wonder why...
Our khabroos inform us that Nawazuddin has started charging a bomb from filmmakers after the success of Kick. Even director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's upcoming film, Farzi, starring Shahid Kapoor will see the Gangs Of Wasseypur actor in a negative role. The movie is the director duo's dream venture and they didn't want to compromise. Therefore, they gave in to the demands of Nawaz and signed him on with a big moneyed cheque. “After the success of Lunchbox and Kick, Nawaz has established himself critically and commercially. He is here to make money and deserves the price he has quoted,” informs a source close to the actor while speaking to a leading daily.
Some sources even claim that the actor has charged the makers a whooping Rs 1 crore for the role. The makers may have done everything possible to keep this news inside closed cupboards but it somehow got out and Nawaz now seems to be very upset with the makers of the film. We wonder why....“Nawaz has verbally agreed to do the film. But he’s yet to sign it on the dotted line,” the source added while clarifying the fact to a leading daily.
The actor is bound to be cautious after he was forced to give explanations on why he was thrown out of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Raees and replaced by Farhan Akhtar. Wethinks it's better to be cautious so that fans don't get the wrong information about their favourite stars. Hai na peeps?
