Off late, there's seems to be only one actress, filmmakers want to get on board - Keerthy Suresh. A name that is fairly new but picking on like a rage. It's safe to say, Keerthy Suresh is the flavour of the season. Her popularity has peaked considerably considering the no of projects she has signed, and to top it all, all the movies are with top actors in Tamil and Telugu industry!
Her recent and first film with Dhanush, Thodari released last week. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, it was about an adventurous train ride from Delhi to Chennai. While the movie has received mixed reviews, her act in the film has caught everyone's notice. Even before Thodari picks up, she has another release waiting - Remo opposite Siva Karthikeyan. Now, ever since this romantic comedy trailer has been out, everyone is excited about this popular duo coming together again after Rajini Murugan! But wait, her projects don't end here. She is all set to star in Vijay's much awaited 60th film Bhairavaa. The first look of the movie was out recently, and everyone was surprised with Vijay's stylish avatar. The movie is set for a January 2017 release. The movie also stars Bharathan. As of now nothing about her role has been revealed, but this is the first time Vijay and Keerthy will be coming together. Post which there are reports, she will be part of Suriya's next with Mutthiah. Set against the rural backdrop of Taml village, it's about a father-son relationship. Raj Kiran will reportedly be playing Suriya's father. Then there's Allu Arjun's Tamil debut. So, finally the Telugu star is all set to make his Kollywood debut with Lingaswamy. The project will go on floors next year in February. There were several heroines in consideration but reportedly it was Keerthy's popularity that got her this project! And now from the latest news, we hear Keerthy Suresh is being signed for Vijay Sethupathi's next. Here's what the director had to say to a leading portal - "When we were discussing whom to rope in as the female lead, we thought Keerthy would fit the role perfectly. We are currently in talks with the actress, but she is yet to sign on the project. We will be announcing other details about the project soon." So while we are awaiting official confirmations for Suriya, Allu Arjun and Vijay's film, Keerthy Suresh is definitely a top contender for the female lead roles.
Hence our question - Will her growing popularity pose a threat to Hansika Motwani, Shriya Saran, Regina Cassandra? Because even though these actress are currently filming for their current movies on hand - Hansika is filming for Bogan, Shriya Saran is filming for Tadka, Simbu's AAA and Nandamuri's 100th film and Regina has Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum, Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen in her kitty- Keerthy Suresh is the one in demand for all the upcoming projects. In fact, in an interaction with a leading portal, she opens about her popularity that almost grew overnight, where she revealed she already felt the pressure but was happy about being welcomed in the industry. We are now eagerly awaiting Remo's release!
