A superhero that gets his powers through nature...hmm...where have we seen that before?
Bollywood has rarely seen a proper superhero apart from Hrithik Roshan's Krrish or the rather forgotten attempts by Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One and Abhishek Bachchan in Drona.
Now Tiger Shroff will be playing a superhero (not the youngest though... mind it, Darsheel Safary beat him to it as the little superhero in Zokkomon) in his upcoming film, A Flying Jatt.
The director, Remo D'Souza has revealed some very interesting details about the film while speaking to Bombay Times. A Flying Jatt will just be a normal superhero film - it will also touch on how humans are abusing the nature and how it will affect us. Apparently Tiger Shroff will be deriving his powers gets his power from nature and other natural elements.
Well, does that bell a ring in your head? It reminds us of Captain Planet, the popular superhero who gets his powers from clean Mother Nature.
Not only is Flying Jatt's powers similar to that of Captain Planet, even his primary antagonist Raka (played by Nathan Jones) is very similar to Captain Planet's villain, Captain Pollution. Like Captain Pollution even Raka derives his powers from dirt, filth and pollution.
Speaking to Bombay Times, Remo D'Souza revealed, "Everything has an alternative, except Mother Earth. And in this film, we have shown the horrific outcome of a world where pollution gets out of control. The respite that our superhero brings and his powers, all come from Natural sources. We are urging people to Go Green. It's a question about our future."
Good to know that the film has such a good message, but let's hope the film is not too similar to the popular cartoon series.
