Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter made an impactful debut last year in Majid Majidi's Beyond the Clouds, which was based in India. Soon he was seen in Nagraj Manjule's Sairat's Hindi remake Dhadak. The Karan Johar's movie grabbed much limelight to the actor, while Majid's movie proved him as a powerhouse of talent. While his Dhadak co-star who made her debut with the movie is already working on her next, Kargil Girl, has started filming her third project Roohi Afza, and has two plum projects, Takht and Dostana 2 lined up, Ishaan's career seems to have hit a roadblock.
According to a Mumbai Mirror's report, Ishaan who was supposed to collaborate with Vishal Bhardwaj is not doing the film anymore. Interestingly, Sanjay has worked with Ishaan's elder brother Shahid Kapoor in movies like Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon. In fact, Vishal has given Kapoor some of his best performances. So rumours were rife that Bhardwaj is interested to collaborate with the younger brother. The film director is currently working on the silver screen adaptation of Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children. He was producing and directing the Booker Prize-winning novel. Vishal wanted Ishaan to play the novel's protagonist Saleem Sinai. There were even rumours that Ishaan, left Mira Nair's movie, a screen adaptation of Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy, to work with Bhardwaj.
However, as per Mirror's report, the two won't be collaborating. Apparently, the two parted ways amicably due to growing creative differences. It is being heard that Bhardwaj is looking for a newcomer to replace Ishaan in the movie.
This leads to Ishaan having no projects in his kitty. After two back to back movies, the actor currently has no work to claim to. But we are quite sure he will soon get something interesting.
Rumours are rife that Ishaan might be seen working with his brother Shahid Kapoor on the silver screen.
