Unemployment in India is getting out of hand, as people are having too much time in hand to destroy things others have taken painstaking efforts to build. And when it comes to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his dream project, Padmavati, there are groups waiting for a reason to desecrate anything be it the movie's sets, the director's face or even a rangoli! An artist, who goes by the name Karan K, had painstakingly recreated the poster of Deepika Padukone as Padmavati. It took 48 hours for him to make the rangoli, but it took mere minutes for the vandals to ruin it.
The artist, who also mentions himself as an actor, writer as well as a future doctor in his Twitter bio, had tweeted about the incident along with the pics of the rangoli he had created, and its ruined state. He mentions that a crowd of about 100 people came to the site, chanting 'JAY SRI RAM' and rubbed out his efforts of so many hours. We are still trying to figure out the connection between Lord Ram and the rangoli of Deepika Padukone as Padmavati. Here's his tweet,
Like we said before, Padmavati is a movie that has been a magnet for troubles ever since it was announced, though nothing to be blamed on the creative aspects of the team. During the shoot in Rajasthan, a fringe group called Rajput Karni Sena barged into the sets of the movie, and destroyed props from the shoot. They even manhandled Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The shoot was further disrupted twice even though the team had shifted it elsewhere. Also when Ranveer had put out the Padmavati poster, the group's Twitter handle gave out a threat that they will be monitoring the movie carefully and if they found anything not upto their taste, they would create trouble again.
However during a stage forum, I&B Minister Smriti Irani had promised Karan Johar that Padmavati won;t have any issues during the release. Let's see if she can live upto her assurances.
Padmavati will release on December 1.
