Mira Kapoor might be Shahid Kapoor's partner but the star-wife has an individuality that doesn't go unnoticed. Be it her views about Bollywood as an outsider or her general consensus about issues that matter, the mother of one (soon going to be two) is unafraid of speaking her mind and how! Of course she knows she won't appease everybody but that's the trick- she is not here to. At least that's what we think! Because the woman of the hour has recently opened up about the being trolled and she couldn't have made more sense. If you have somehow missed the story, Mira recently featured in an ad and did a rather good job. But like all things end on the internet, she was at the receiving end of a lot of flak and criticism because it was an ad for an anti-ageing cream. Did it makes us wonder? Sure, but to troll someone for doing what they think is right for their image is the most irrational thing to do. But she is not someone to take it lying down. Mira has finally broken her silence and told Times Now, "The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It's not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel.”
She is also revealed that she is aware about the trappings of the virtual world which is dismaying according to her. “It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad," she added.
Earlier, Dhadak star Ishaan Khatter who is also brother-in-law to Mira had come to her defense and said, "There is a lot of frustration. There are a lot of people who are overtly judgmental on the internet. But having said that everyone has a right to opinion. For me, what’s important is to be inspired and keep moving to grow as an artist and as a person. I don’t find negativity helpful in that. So I try and keep myself away from it.”
