We surely cannot contain our excitement for this one!
They say that making people laugh is no laughing matter. In today’s times, the comedy shows often make us cry with their flat gags, toilet humour and terrible acting. And our daily soaps are providing unintentional humour in the form of actresses turning flies, Gorilla romance, naagins, daayans and what not. If such things on TV have made you shed buckets then fret not. The makers of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai have decided to take charge. Yup, good news is on the way and we are thrilled to bits.
The producer of the show revealed that the new season will be a shorter one and online i.e. a webseries. JD Majethia is now on a break and the script will be finalized once he is back.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai starred Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly and Rajesh Kumar. Every character had its own idiosyncrasy and gained a cult following amongst the viewers. So much so, that even fans had volunteered to fund a second season of the show. The makers know that Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is an iconic show and don’t want to dish out anything that is below the set standards. We truly applaud you guys for this!
Satish Shah doubled our happiness when he said that even Naseeruddin Shah would like to come on the show as a guest. He, too was partying with the Sarabhai family till 4am in the morning and said he was a fan of the show as well. Having him on the inaugural episode will be like an icing on the cake.
This is extremely thrilling and heart-warming news. We say heart-warming because the current scenario on TV makes us shake our heads in disbelief. As kids, we grew up on quality shows like Dekh Bhai Dekh, Shriman Shrimati, Hum Paanch and so on. The advent of naagins, daayans, makkhi has robbed us of our pleasure. We don’t crave for unintentional humour always. Aren’t you guys shedding tears of joy because we surely are!
