It was Sridevi's dream to watch Janhvi Kapoor on the big screen. Today, Sridevi might not be around to watch Janhvi's journey as she gears up for her first film, Dhadak but the daughter reveals how her star mom made sure to be her brightest guiding light until her last breath. In her first ever interview with Vogue, Janhvi recalls the changes that Sridevi had suggested when she watched the few rushes of Dhadak a couple of months back. "She was very technical about it. The first thing she told me was the things I needed to improve—she felt the mascara was smudged and it really bothered her. The second half has to be different, she told me, “You can’t wear anything on your face.” That’s all she told me but she was happy." We can't even imagine what Janhvi must be going through each day, as she steps out to make her mom proud, to fulfill her mom's dreams.
Reminds us of Sridevi's last interview where she had mentioned about grooming Janhvi before entering Bollywood. "She has to face the pressure. When she has decided to enter Bollywood, she has to go through all this. She’s prepared for all that, and I am also preparing myself for it. Sometimes, it scares me. So many thoughts come and you feel why is she doing this? But then, if you feel that is her aim and happiness, as a mother, I will support her like my mom supported me. We weren’t from a film background but it happened and she stood by me, fought for me and made sure I am happy. That’s how I would also like to be with Janhvi.”, said the actress.
