There is huge expectations among the audience at large to witness Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen – a fact proven by how the SRK cameo in Brahmastra has received ubiquitous praise, even by those who haven't particularly liked the film. So imagine, how much the public is yearning to witness Shah Rukh again on the big screen in a full-fledged role, after seeing him last that way back in 2018, in the disappointing Zero. Well, on that not, the Baadshah of Bollywood has Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki lined up for release in that order. And now, we've landed our hands on a feeler of what the plot of Jawan is possibly about.
A well-placed entertainment news source within the industry has exclusively apprised BollywoodLife that Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is a heist thriller. Exciting right? So, how does the speculation of SRK having a cameo fit into this? Said source further claims that Jawan is apparently a heist-cum-revenge thriller, with Shah Rukh's older version supposedly being a part of a failed heist, and then years later, King Khan's son persona taking it upon himself to undertake said heist again. Double exciting, right?

Jawan is being helmed by Tamil film Director Atlee, known for his blockbusters with Thalapathy Vijay, including Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. Word is that Deepika Padukone will also be seen in the film, playing an extended cameo. Jawan is expected to release in theatres worldwide on 2nd June 2023. Prior to Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is slated to hit cinema halls on 25th January 2023 as a grand Republic Day weekend release.
