Everyone who has and still loves FRIENDS are in for a treat as the cast of one of the most popular shows is set to reunite on screen again this February. After months of speculations and denial of a reunion, it seems that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will be seen together for a tribute to TV comedy director James Burrows, NBC executives revealed yesterday.
All the die hard fans must be cheering that they will be able to see their stars together once again for this two hour special that will be aired on NBC and various other networks across the world. However, it might not be reunion after all. As, the NBC Entertainment Chairman, Bob Greenblatt suggested, "I’m hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure of that. I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off. But I think it’s safe to say that all six of them will be there.”
The six actors, whose careers started with FRIENDS and actually sky rocketed them to where they are, have rarely come together as a group since the show went off the air in 2004. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow made an appearance together on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2014 to spoof their Friends characters.
The special tribute episode will be aired on February 21 and it will be a star-studded affair where everyone will be seen paying a tribute to the 75-year-old director James Burrows. Casts of other comedy shows that James had directed, including Cheers, Frasier and Will & Grace, will also be present on the show. James has directed episodes of Cheers, Will and Grace, Friends, Mike and Molly, Taxi, Frasier, NewsRadio and many more of your favorite comedies. He recently helmed his 1,000th episode of TV.
The NBC network made the announcement yesterday through a tweet and since then the whole world has been talking about the FRIENDS reunion on every social media platform.
