Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 is not showing any signs of slowing down at the box office. It released last Friday and is still the audience's first choice at the movie theatres. After registering a great first week collection by becoming one of Akshay Kumar's highest opening week grossers, it has managed to stay put at the box office on its second Friday. It earned a really big Rs. 4.14 crore to take the toll to Rs. 81.85 crore.
Taran Adarsh shared the numbers saying, "#JollyLLB2 continues to dominate, despite new releases... [Week 2] Fri 4.14 cr. Total: ₹ 81.85 cr. India biz... Strong Weekend 2 on cards!" With the way Friday has earned, we can only imagine what Saturday and Sunday will bring in. And if it performs as is expected, it will become the third hit film of the year after Raees and Kaabil. This is a really good news for the industry to get three big hits in the start of the year to set the course in rest of the months. Akshay Kumar's presence and some really good performances by Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor helped the film became people's favoured choice in February. You saw what the Valentine's Day figures did for the film. It even earned more on that day (first Tuesday) than on its first Monday. Check out the progression of the film at the box office right here.
Jolly LLB 2 has not been affected by the release of The Ghazi Attack, Irada and Running Shaadi at all since it just isn't a superstar laced film but a content driven one. Given the fact that the audience has started to accept such cinema, it is really heartening to see the film soar high and high.
