Kabali producers backs Anbu Cheziyan.

Kabali and Theri producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, along with an array of producers, interacted with the media yesterday and explained the numerous good deeds of film financier Anbu Cheziyan and advised the media to look at things in a balanced way. "Everyone has been making a lot of allegations on Anbu Cheziyan, one of the good-hearted souls I know of in the film industry today. If there are 100 films in Tamil cinema today, more than 80 movies are financed by Anbu. Tamil film industry will be literally shut down without Anbu Cheziyan," said Kalaipuli S Thanu. "For Sivakarthikeyan's Rajini Murugan, there was a lot of debate between financiers. But, Anbu, who was in Madurai, immediately flew down to Chennai and solved all the issues in a jiffy. Lingusamy would know everything. If not for him, Rajini Murugan would not have seen the light of day. Anbu was the primary mediator who facilitated the smooth release of the film," explained Thanu. Thanu also said he has been receiving finance for his movies from Anbu Cheziyan including Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali. "I have a long-time association with Anbu. For Kabali, I paid only after two days of the film's release. But he was very cool about it and never asked me about the money," said Thanu.

Ashok Kumar, co-producer of actor-director Sasikumar's Company Productions, committed suicide a few days back and left behind a two-page suicide note. He directly blamed Anbu Cheziyan was continually harassing him and the women in his family with demeaning words.
