The veteran delivered a guest lecture at the Harvard University recently

Veteran actor, director, script writer, producer, free thinker and legend Kamal Haasan recently visited the United States of America for giving a guest lecture at the John F Kennedy school of government at Harvard University. The Ulaganayagan delivered a simply brilliant speech based on the topic, the freedom of speech and talked about politics, religion, his past and how one must stay vigilant to safeguard this freedom. But Kamal faced a slight problem while heading back to homeland.

The actor was at the Boston airport, ready to catch a flight to Chennai. However, owing to the bad weather conditions in the city, the airport was shut down and the veteran actor was left stranded. Boston faced heavy snowfall recently and the airport runway was covered with snow and sleet. Owing to the inclement weather conditions, all flights were cancelled. The Ulaganayagan took a picture of the conditions and posted it on his Twitter handle with the caption," Stuck in Boston. Snowed down." The picture showed the Boston airport runway covered completely with a layer of snow and few trucks hard at work to try to get flights running again.

Kamal Haasan is a part of Central Board of Film Certification's reform committee and is strongly opposed to censorship, but feels that film certification is necessary and should just be used as a warning. The actor has always felt strongly against curbing free speech especially since his 2013 film Vishwaroopam was banned for a long time and only a heavily censored version made it to the screens.
