The Padma Bhushan winner unlike others was in a retrospective mood
Kamal Haasan is the latest to be awarded the Padma Bhushan and the actor is elated and honoured to be the chosen one. However, when quizzed about entering politics the Vishwaroopam star seemed happy being at the poll booths as a commoner rather than join the long list of actors-turned politicians. Looks like the not so politically correct actor who has had a tussle with the Tamil Nadu government over his film's release does not find the political career very exciting. In a recent interview to a leading news network the actor said, "We are all in politics. I go to the polling booths every five years and get our fingers inked. I think I don't have to go beyond that."
That was not it, when the actor whose real life journey has been as interesting and intriguing as his reel life one is not keen on ever writing his autobiography. Haasan reasons, "I am opposed to autobiographies, mainly because most autobiographies lie. Nobody experiments with truth. I will hurt so many people trying to speak the truth. Moreover, I don't know if I can share everything about me with everyone."
Well, we are sure that this unconventional star isn't very comfortable sharing his most guarded secrets, but we certainly wouldn't mind a slice of the lesser known Kamal Haasan. And for the actor who speaks his mind and heart, we would like to see the industry, his friends and journey through his own eyes, wouldn't we love that BollywoodLifers?
