Kangana Ranaut is the poster girl for everything unconventional in Bollywood. Be it her acting, or her journey of becoming the 'Queen', they all bear testimony to the same. Having said that, there is another facet to the actress that speaks on her behalf, at least in the headlines. If you haven't guessed it already- controversies and Kangana can't stay apart for long. No there's no superstar with shine in his name this time around, but another credit confusion has surfaced and kicked a storm. Let us take you through it. Remember when we told you that she has stepped in as director Krish Jagarlamudi's shoes for Manikarnika's patchwork scenes? For those of you don't know, the film has almost completed its shooting barring with some patchwork scenes. But apparently, the director is now currently busy with NTR biopic which is why the lead actress, Kangana decided to take charge of completing the same not only as the actor but also as the director. But a coup of a sort took place when a clapperboard from the sets went viral on the Internet.
Needless to say, it reminded people of the public and nasty fallout with Apurva Asrani over the writing credits for her movie Simran. Phir kya? It spread like wildfire and before you know naysayers it was everywhere. So much so that the actor's team has now taken to Instagram and issued a statement on Kangana's handle. It read, "Krish Jagarlamudi is the director of #Manikarnika and will remain so. #KanganaRanaut has stepped in to shoot just the patchwork on his behalf while he fulfills his commitments in another movie, to make sure that #Manikarnika releases on 25th Jan 2019. The clapboard is merely to avoid on set confusion."
Yep, that happened. Now, we aren't certain how this is going to end but we're hoping it doesn't turn out like the last time- in a war of words. Not just for the her but for everyone's sake. Talking about the movie, Manikarnika is produced by Kamal Jain and Zee Studios. It also features Jisshu Sengupta, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Sonu Sood and television actress, Ankita Lokhande, in pivotal roles. It is set to hit the screens on January 25 and will lock the horns with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 and Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India at the box office.
