Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivii might not have shaken up the box office but her performance was certainly much appreciated. She has earned a nomination in SIIMA for the same. Filmfare has also nominated Kangana Ranaut in the Best Actress category for Thalaivii. The actress took to her Instagram handle and said that she is going to sue the publication. Kangana Ranaut said that they had been asking her to attend the function for many years now. She has said that this is like an attendance award, and it is beneath her dignity to attend such shows and accept the awards. Take a look at the screenshot below...

Thalaivii was directed by AL Vijay. Kangana Ranaut played the title role as the former CM of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa. The movie got mixed reviews from critics. In fact, even Kangana Ranaut's acting came under the scanner. The actress has called out Bollywood for promoting nepotism, elitism and sabotaging careers. She started a campaign after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2o20.
Now, Kangana Ranaut is busy with Emergency. The movie is based on the life of former India PM Indira Gandhi. Shreyas Talpade and Mahima Chaudhary also play important roles in the film. Dhaakad writer Ritesh Shah is also on the writing team. Her first look has been appreciated a lot. This has come as a shock. While Aamir Khan has said that he will boycott film awards in India, no celeb has ever done something of this sort. Kangana Ranaut's last movie Dhaakad tanked very badly at the box office.
