One of the biggest Bollywood tragedies in recent times has been the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. He was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020. Pictures and videos from the room of the actor got leaked in the media. After people saw the pics, many were of the opinion that it does not look like a suicide. The ligature marks on the necks did not look like one from hanging. Kangana Ranaut was one of the first to talk about his death. She blamed Bollywood for isolating the actor. She pointed out at the numerous blind items that were written to tarnish his reputation. She called it emotional and psychological lynching.
Kangana Ranaut has stood firm on the ground that his death needs to be investigated like an unnatural demise. She has also slammed the stories of depression. Talking about her own experience, she spoke about how she was branded as a psychotic by some people. She spoke about how Javed Akhtar advised her against speaking out. In a verbal attack, she slammed some top Bollywood celebs as 'suicide gang'. Now, in a tweet she has hit out on Deepika Padukone for her depression tweets just after Sushant Singh Rajput's death. As we know, just after his demise, she had started her Repeat After Me series where she said that depression was an illness and not a mood thing.
As we know, Deepika Padukone opened up about her issues with depression some years back. She spoke about how timely intervention from her mother resulted in her getting good treatment. She has been the face of mental health campaigns in India. But in Sushant's case, his former friends have repeatedly confirmed that he never had any depression issues. Even his former staff have said that he was not depressive or panicky as it is being reported by some.
