The actress had something to positive to say about Pakistan and it has cost her.
Actor-turned-politician was visiting Islamabad for a meeting of young Parliamentarians from SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional cooperation) In reference to Defence minister Manohar Parrikar's statement "going to Pakistan is like going to hell" Ramya had tweeted, "Pakistan is not hell. People there are just like us. They treated us very well." and that is it took to get all of Twitterati agitated. In fact, a case of sedition has been filed against the Kannada actor. Everyone on has been calling her comment 'anti-national' on social media.
But here's what the actor has to say: I have done nothing wrong. I am entitled to my views and that is what democracy is about," It's funny that people get away with murder charges and polarisation in this country."
The actor whose real name is Divya Spandana has a sedition case filed against by a certain case lawyer. The case will be heard out on Saturday. In an interaction with ANI, here's what the Kannada actor turned politician had ot say:
