The channel Colors has warned the actors of copyright infringement and now the creatives are in a fix!
It is indeed a challenging time for Kapil Sharma and his creative team. The news is out that the star comedian will be soon seen on a new channel with a new show. The catch is audiences love the characters of his show, Daadi, Palak and Gutthi and they need to be an integral part of the show. Whatever he does, these characters have to get the importance. However, the creative copyright to the characters of Daadi, Palak and Gutthi belongs to Colors and they can’t be shown on other channels. This means that he has to bring back those characters but in a manner that it does not lead to copyright infringement. In fact, the actors have been barred from doing shows in those get-ups as well. The creative team has sat down with a legal team to figure out a manner in which the characters can be shown without leading to copyright violation. Well, it does seem like an uphill task.
