The stylish and glamorous filmmaker of Bollywood, Karan Johar, has unveiled his wax statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore along with mother Hiroo Johar. This wax statue has been designed in a signature style, where the filmmaker is posing for a selfie. Well, KJo has created history since he became the first Indian filmmaker to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds.
Karan Johar expressed his happiness about this achievement and told DNA, “I remember visiting the Madam Tussauds museum with my father when I was all of eight years old. It feels like a childhood dream has been realised. Today, my statue will be a part of this prestigious museum and I am vastly excited and honoured! Just the fact that I can bring my babies one day to this museum and they can see their father standing tall amongst so many illustrious and luminous personalities is the most emotional feeling for me. Waxing eloquent is something I have attempted to do for many years now, but being waxed is an altogether different high.”
On the professional front, the filmmaker will soon start the shooting of mega-budget magnum opus Takht. It features the ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Bhumi Pednekar. It will be reportedly based on the life of Aurangzeb where Kareena and Ranveer will play siblings. The film is expected to go on floors in the end of this year and is set to hit the screens in 2020.
